Project Mojave Blog: How to Not F*ck Up Your (Public) Product Launch

Congrats on the launch, Clay! Now get some sleep. :)

Glad to hear your launch went well. I like the iDev setup. I’m curious what payment processors iDevAffiliate supports.

Will they track affiliate sales if you are selling a product through Paypal?

Awesome Clay! Minus the not driving a car... oh wait. You drove me around in a car. I can be proof that you have one ;)

Thanks for your exceptionally hard work.

Launches are fun! In the middle of my 2nd for one of my niches. Right at the kick off of ours we got a new very high profile client (so video production for core product is now delayed), our largest affiliate backed out and now I'm on my way to Vegas to create debauchery. If we wait for the perfect time with the perfect plan - we will always be waiting. Taking action and seeing results and making every launch better than the last is the way to go!

Congrats on the launch, Clay. Personally, I was impressed, especially by your humble submissions of learning.

My observation, via your recent blog posts, is that your learning (and teaching) is more a result of "doing" rather than a result of "knowing," which is why (and how) you have demonstrated that conventional education has little correlation with success in business or life.

"Education is an admirable thing, but it is well to remember from time to time that nothing that is worth knowing can be taught." ~ Oscar Wilde

    Cheers...

Nope, don't believe it. I want to SEE the car!

Heh... if that were an option :-)

Yup... they track affiliate sales through paypal. They actually have a very tight integration with paypal.

It's such a ridiculous privilege to be working with you. So thank YOU.

Heh . . . maybe it will make an appearance soon.
  • Clay Collins · 7 months ago
Exactly. We should talk sometime, by the way.

Yeah, that doing stuff is a pain in the ass. A hell of a way to learn, however. I think someone called it "reality therapy."

Congrats Clay. I'll surely be following along.

That much you can count on. ;-)

The quality of a guy is how he percieves himself and is percieved by others. Bit boring that, sorry Clay! But anyway I am impelled to drop a note here to make an observation: Are you aware of the quality comments you've got nestled here, written by nice people who've taken time to avoid writing grunge! It really is striking take my word for it. You're doing something right so just keep doing it.
    Best regards

Geez, I was so impressed with the first video that I was ready to sign up, only to discover you were only on day 1 of the launch. Now that I know that you blew it I'm having second thoughts. Not! I'm glad you skipped the car part unless you drive a beat up Honda or something.

Question though - why is it that no one ever lets you through on day 1? (See, I'm a newbie to all this and probably just asked a really silly question.)

    Nice. Thanks Clay.
